Logie's 6 month stats:
Weight- 20 lbs 6 ounces (90th percentile)
Height- I forget the height, but he was still in the 80th percentile.
Play: As I write this Logie is playing his little heart out on his activity mat. He's also "talking" up a storm. He loves to roll over, any direction. He has found his hands. Sometimes he has his little hand, holding up a "number 1" and just stares at it. Makes me laugh! He also loves his jumperoo... although that thing is not super conducive to keeping diapers effective. We've had poop down his leg and on the carpet multiple times when he's in that thing!
Food: We've been feeding him 7 ounces (which seems like a lot to me). Last night he also had green beans (or any food for that matter) for the first time!! The pics below just crack me up. He didn't seem to mind them really, despite his expressions! I'm excited that he's starting to eat "real" food! With his amounts of food increasing, he's gotten some pretty good thighs on him! He's a little chubster these day :-)
Sleep: Once summer started for me, we started Baby Boot Camp, regarding night time. However, Justin said that it was really Boot Camp for me.... forcing myself to not get him at night. Really, just the first night was hard... he cried for about 40 minutes. After that, he cried for 5 or 10 minutes the second night, and then barely at all since then. So overall, he's doing great (and I am too!). With being at home for a full week now, I am still trying to figure out his whole nap time schedule. Some days I keep trying to put him down for a nap, and he just cries and cries, and I'm not sure if he's actually tired or not. So, today, I changed strategies and put him down a little later for his morning nap, and he slept over 3 hours.... and I woke him up then, because I am still wanting a late afternoon nap. So, anyway, we are still tweaking the whole nap thing.
Travel: Logie went to Mississippi for the first time last weekend! We went to visit Gie and John. We had such a fun, relaxing time. It was just a perfect visit. Logie got lots of time with his great-grandparents. Paul, Marney, Morgan and Madeline were able to hang out a good bit too! Paul and Justin worked on a 500 piece flower puzzle most of the afternoon... then Gie and Justin finished it up after a yummy dinner at Doe's! Marney stayed home with the girls and watched Logan, so sweet of her! Gie-Daddy liked holding Logan and saying "a bugga-dy bugga-dy boo!" Logan thought it was funny. Logan just loved to stare at Gie while she talked, like he was studying her or something. Was cute!
Overall, Logie has had a great first 6 months of life :) We don't know what we did without him. He is definitely the best thing that has ever happened to us!
