Big news in Logie-World: We quit the paci cold turkey! Well, I guess we were using it less and less that past month, just mainly when he was sleeping. This past Thursday evening Justin was saying that we had to get Logie off the paci, because the doctor said we should stop using it by the time he walks. (He's not walking yet, but I would guess he is around 2 months away from walking.) Anyway, I had school off on Friday, so it was a good 3-day weekend to stop using the paci, so that he was more used to not having the paci by the time that Nikol had him. First nap on Friday was a doozy. Logie cried for a total of 35 minutes, and then fell asleep. It broke my heart, but that has been the worst of it. Since then he has cried 5-10 minutes most times. One other time he cried 25 minutes, but a couple times he didn't cry at all. Today is day #4 being paci-free and he's doing pretty good. It sounds so silly, but, I'm proud of him :-)
Logie is the cutest little baby ever! He is moving all around, and overall, a really happy and chill baby.
Justin and I went to Mississippi for the Farm Meeting October 3-5. It was our first weekend away from Logie. Janey and Duane watched Logan. It was a great weekend away and it was great knowing that Logan was having fun with his Grammy and Pop Pop. We went to the Mighty Mississippi Music Festival for the 2nd year in a row. It was such a fun time listening to different music and hanging with the sibs :-)
The past two Friday nights Justin and I have had a date nights! We went to Wine Bistro one Friday and then, The Pearl this past Friday. After The Pearl, we went to see the Lion King, because Mom and Bill were out of town so we got to use their tickets! It has been great to have two fun date nights back to back!! It's definitely good to get out and have time for just us.
This weekend we are looking forward to going to Freeman's Farm, which is a pumpkin patch. Every year we go with a big group of friends. After the pumpkin patch, everyone is coming over to our house. Should be a fun time!
